Baby Catcher Turns Into Fit Camper

"I had known about The Fit Green since 2014 when one of my friends had told me about it. I half signed up but never actually made it! I have always known about the importance of keeping fit and played sports and generally ate well but I was never consistent.

"In 2016, three months after having a baby I spoke to a friend (who is FIT!) who was member at a gym Iwas thinking of joining. I asked if she still went, and she said 'nope! I do bootcamp now'. Initially I wasn't convinced that flipping a few tyres on the grass got her in such amazing shape!!

"I procrastinated for about 3 months before I finally joined. Initially I wasn't too sure as it was hard!! Thought I'd last a couple of months... but as the months went I started noticing that I was less lethargic and I was getting fitter I began to look forward to bootcamp sessions.

"The Hot Body Project was the game changer for me. I've always been against fad diets and wasn't sure what to expect with this one. But had heard so many positive things I thought I'd give it a go... I've got nothing to lose (well maybe a few pounds here and there!) and it was easy!

"For me it was about relearning my associations with food! To not grab that packet of skittles but instead some carrot sticks or an apple. I cooked all my own meals and I didn't give up carbs. But gave up my cornflakes in the morning (replaced with avocado on rye bread and a smoothie), sweets, and fried food.

"I did lose weight but more than that I felt so much better. What kept me going was the community buzz the forum provided, the pictures of yummy food everyone was cooking up (for everyone who knows me... I LOVE food and loved that I could still eat yummy food on the plan!), and the being scientifically minded, Steve's videos that he posts throughout which look at fitness and weight loss holistically!

"In short, it's worth a try! The Fit Greeners are a lovely bunch! And The Hot Body Project done properly will guarantee results!!"

Mother of Four Gets Her Body Back

I spent my 20s in a cycle of worrying about my weight, either trying to lose it, or worried that I would put it back on. One worry I harboured long before I had children was what would happen to my body once I had a baby. I had always assumed that the cycle would get worse, and that the weight would be harder to lose, or that I wouldn't have the time or inclination.

I turned 40 in 2016, and am the mother of four young children aged 8, 7, 4 and 2. Despite both of these facts, I can honestly say that I have never felt so happy and confident with my body as I do now. This is due to a combination of going to The Fit Green and following The Hot Body Project.

I have been going to Steve's fitness camp for almost 5 years. I go 3 or 4, times a week, whatever the weather, with or without a child (or with up to 4 children) in tow. I am often asked by non-booty friends how I keep up the motivation to go, or told that I am extremely disciplined or 'good'.

But I don't see it like that - I don't need to find motivation - I want to go, I enjoy it not just for the fun, varied work outs, and for the way it makes me feel, and the good results I have got from going, but for the banter, the camaraderie, the friendships and the fun.

Steve works us hard and I always come away feeling it, but it is really fun. As well as getting fit and into shape, I have made some really solid friendships.

Steve's nutritional expertise has also had a massive, long lasting impact on my life. I first tried his nutrition plan, The Hot Body Project, after the birth of my third child, three years ago. I was already into my fitness before I met Steve but it is safe to say that my eating was all over the place. I didn't really have a clue.

When I was ready to lose my baby weight I signed up to The Hot Body Project because I'd heard lots of people talking about it at The Fit Green and had seen their amazing results. I still wasn't convinced it would work for me, but within the first week I realised that what everyone else was saying was true and that it really, really works!

Even at that stage though I couldn't really grasp how I could work it into my everyday life. But I continued to follow some of the main principles after the initial 21 day plan came to an end, and I lost all of my baby weight steadily and fairly quickly. I did the same following the birth of my fourth baby, this time joining Hot 365, the continuation plan.

Each time I have taken part in a 21 day plan I have picked up another good habit that stays with me and as a result I find that I no longer need to worry about my weight or my shape. I am conscious, mindful, aware of what I eat but I do not find it hard to stick to, it has become a way of life. My body shape has completely changed since before I had children, but in a good way. I actually like it - and I would never have dreamt I would be able to say that having had four babies.

Slimming Club Veteran Loses 4 Stone

So I was a veteran of the slimming club, new fad diet, giving up after 2 days diet, gym memberships that cost me a lot of money but I never went, and looking back in denial about how I really felt......which was quite a bit crap most of the time and really really overweight and after Christmas 2015 as I was puffing up the stairs at work....it dawned on me that at 43 I really shouldn't be feeling this way. But this way had kind of become normal and I had my 'I don't care' armour on for the world to see……

And then the lovely Ele posted on her Facebook about The Hot Body Project'.....and she looked fab and well and healthy.... so ever the follower of what (in my head) I thought would probably be another of those fads, I signed up - not a lot to lose.....and off I went ......

The Hot Body Project has been the revelation of the last 18 months for me.....I am 4 1/2 stone lighter, around 20 odd inches less of me, my head is clearer, my skin is brighter, my eyes sparkle and I have discovered it feels good to look after yourself for once and recently, having learnt to love myself first, I found someone to love me too..❤️

Don't get me wrong - its not easy but it is easier than any diet plan that has gone before and having thought about this it is because it isn't a diet plan, it becomes a way of life, that fits with life and flexes around your life in a way that counting points or syns or calories just doesn't for me.

I have grown to mostly love exercising early in the morning to the dulcet tones of Steve on YouTube and the best bit..... we can take Steve wherever we go - on holiday, business trips - there is no excuse not to do it.

The more you do The Hot Body Project the easier it becomes to eat the right way without thinking or should I say overthinking every calorie or carb or sugar or fat.... because if you look at it as a whole and treat it as a journey the daily ups and downs which were my trigger to self doubt, self loathing and then self destruction, become just 'hmmm' points as in 'hmmmm ok that tasted great and I really enjoyed it and I'll hop back on The Hot Body Project bus tomorrow'

It is truly liberating for a self confessed now reformed self saboteur of all things healthy...... Coupled with Steve's care and attention to all of us ( even though I have had the excitement of meeting him only the once and many on The Hot Body Project have never met him face to face!) is second to none and I love his no-nonsense no moaning approach to us all, and finally all of this is supported by the most fabulous group of ladies in a forum where we support, inspire and challenge each other on to reach our goals.......

How To Bounce Back When The Worst Happens

I started the Hot Body Project online in January 2015, and saw some good steady results immediately and by May was feeling healthy and stronger than I had in years.

I remember walking down the high street thinking “I feel good”, ironically only two months later after a routine mammogram I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Exercise and diet went out the window, whilst I coped with the treatment, operation and recovery. Unfortunately my fitness went pretty much to zero and I gained weight through lack of exercise and comfort eating.

So after 14 months and the all clear from the consultant, I got back to it and it was an easy choice to go back to The Hot Body Project with all the great support and encouragement from Steve, Jan and the group.

I also decided to take some personal training from Steve, to help me with the correct exercises to do and to advise how much I could push myself without doing any damage to my scar tissue etc.

I’m three months in and it’s been an absolute joy to work with Steve and getting my strength and fitness back.

Weight loss is slow because of my continuing meds but Steve is always encouraging and has the best words of wisdom that it’s a marathon not a sprint.

I have lost nearly a stone in weight, and am lifting more than I ever imagined, I’ve even returned to running 5k a couple of times a week. There is a way to go but I know we’re going to do it.

And so to Steve, he’s a very positive, happy person, who is the perfect combination of encouraging you to push yourself and telling you it’s ok to not over do it. He seems to work out the best approach for each client that I have seen him work with. His sessions are full of laughter and banter, but always with care and guidance to get it right.

Lost 3 Stone & Countless Inches on The Hot Body Project & Changed My Life

Before The Hot Body Project I was a regular runner but didn't feel as fit or healthy as I would like.

I thought I ate reasonably well but knew there was room for improvement as I felt bloated and was over weight. I did my first round on The Hot Body Project 18 months ago and initially my goal was just to lose weight.

I lost 3 stone and countless inches within 6months, it literally just melted away. Despite my initial anxiety about giving up bread, alcohol and sugary treats I found it much easier than I expected.

I absolutely loved the short daily exercise routines and developed a real love of cross training. 18 months on I stick to the principles of The Hot Body Project 5 days a week with a slightly more relaxed approach at the weekends.

The Hot Body Project has literally changed my life, the benefits include: kept the weight off, running times have improved significantly, my shape changed so not only do I feel fit I look it as well, my whole family eat better, I feel confident and strong, I've learnt about nutrition in terms of weight but also in terms of fuelling the amount of exercise I now do.

The principles are straight forward but if you are consistent and mindful about the process it works. The Hot Body Project is about so much more than just losing weight, it can be a complete lifestyle change and for me you can't put a price on that.

A Demanding Job, Unpredictable Hours & 3 Kids Couldn’t Stop Fiona

I started The Fit Green to improve my fitness. I was already doing some running and had just run my 1st Half Marathon in 2 hours 15 mins, but had given up on the gym.

With a demanding job, unpredictable hours and 3 kids I wasn't really pushing myself to get fitter, just doing what I could. I was bored.

We weren't local having moved here from Scotland and working away in odd places and odd hours meant I had a limited social circle in the area. I had a fairly healthy diet and wasn't particularly seeking to lose weight, just to do something different that would push me and get my "spark" back. Wind the clock forward to today (6 years on!!) and I am still a regular at The Fit Green. I am fitter than I have ever been, my weight is the same as it was when I started but I am a very different shape, leaner and stronger.

I started out wanting to be pushed to get fitter to get back my "spark". I did get fitter and my spark came from all the new local friends I have made. I have taken part in numerous fun obstacle course races with my bootcamp friends. I never thought I would do anything like that but I have found I really enjoy the challenge and sense of accomplishment.

Steve creates a light-hearted and fun atmosphere and we all help each other out without taking it too seriously (well I don't anyway!). The social events are infamous in Woking and a lot of fun. I have continued to run as well and my improved strength from The Fit Green has helped me get from a 2 hr 15 min half marathon time to a PB of 1 hour 51.

I have done a few of The Hot Body Project’s and they have always had a positive impact on my shape, mood, sleep and energy.

Now I know what to do and not do, I am able to maintain that mostly on my own with a little kick-start every now and again by joining one of the official plans; the facebook groups really help with motivation when that feels a little lacking. In fact I only joined Facebook so I could fully participate in The Hot Body Project’s!! The Fit Green is the best thing I ever did and I arrange my plans and diary around it as much as I can so it is well and truly part of my routine. I get miserable if I miss it

50+ Busy Working Mum Needed Something Which Fitted With Her Lifestyle

I cant recommend Steve and his approach to fitness and lifestyle highly enough.

I took on the challenge of The Hot Body Project 21 day plan at the beginning of the New Year 2017.

I entered this with the same state of mind that I had entered many other plans over many years i.e. this just needs to be done, you are really overweight, grin and bear it and hopefully loose some inches. We have all been there. Well what a surprise - not only did I lose many, not just some, inches I found a new mindset when it came to health and fitness.

I am a 50 + year old working mum with a busy lifestyle. I am not a fitness freak, never have been, I actually don`t even enjoy exercising even though I can feel and see the benefit of doing it! Anyway Steve's approach is fantastic for me as the workouts are not too long and can be done anytime anywhere to fit in with whats going on.

The food and nutritional advice and help is also brilliant. I honestly thought that after completing The Hot Body Project I would revert to many of my old ways when it came to eating, but no, because of the recipes and on line community I kept to it. I can now honestly say I love my green smoothie in the mornings and i have totally changed the my eating habits.

Does it work though I hear you ask. Well for me that has to be a resounding yes. By completing on average just 4 workouts a week, coupled with lots of dog walking, and eating a different way, from starting the year as a good size 16 I write this some 9 months later as a size 12.

Better than that though I feel so much fitter and healthier. One of the biggest buzzes for me is being able to go and buy the clothes I like rather than being restricted to trying to find clothes that would basically covered up the worst bits.

So a big thank you to Steve and the team...I am hooked.

Liz (Somewhat Sceptically) Joined The Hot Body Project & Hasn't Looked Back

"Steve Keywood and his programme The Hot Body Project continues to be a very influential part of my life. I have lost a lot of weight twice after two children and I'm the slimmest and strongest I've been in my adult life.

“A friend raved about Steve Keywood on Facebook shortly after I gave birth to my first child in 2012and I was trying to budge the remainder of the "baby weight". I (somewhat sceptically) joined his 21 day plan and haven't looked back. It's a lifestyle not a diet. I have increasingly taken more from each programme to today where I am hooked on strength training and understand what I should be eating to maintain my weight.

“The Hot Body Project has a straight forward -goal focussed- approach. You eat real food, gradually incorporate good habits (eg water intake, less alcohol, going to be early) and do daily body weight training for the first 21 days. The workouts Steve records for you to follow. They are 12-15 minutes and therefore can be squished into any busy working mum's day. The nutritional advice has completely changed my way of thinking about food and allows me to make simple choices that I'm in control of both at home and eating out which for most people is a frequent occurrence. By eating well on plan, I can eat more and yes, I still drink alcohol and eat pudding - just less often :)

“Alongside Steve's brilliant advice on the forum (recipes, menus, videos of the exercises, nutritional info, stuff on hormones and how they affect weight, live workouts and so on!), crucially there are a lot of positive, clever, aspirational and kind women all interested and motivated in becoming the fittest version of themselves. Everyone is supportive and you'll find a spectrum of ladies at different points of weight loss and fitness. These women are like friends, whilst the rules are not to be negative (or shout about falling off the wagon!), we discuss relevant issues, ask questions and these women ooze positivity and provide virtual hugs where needed.

“So what do you get for your money??? An outstanding personal trainer with a huge wealth of nutritional and fitness knowledge who strives to continually learn. A different body shape. Strong arms. Strong legs. Less wobble. Less weight. A new attitude towards fitness. Numerous invitations to fun events such as park runs and muddy challenges. Amazing tasty food. Lots of humorous posts and generally a good laugh!

“I figured back in 2012 that I had nothing to lose by signing up and I was right.. It's not weight watchers. It's not a shit, gimmicky diet...everything is backed up by evidence, by example, and it's all done with good quality nutrition.”

The Hot Body Project Gave Jana Structure & Support During The Hardest Time In Her Life

Last year Jana lit a fire under my ass. She was (and still is) an incredible source of motivation for everyone on Hot 365. She's not alone. I coach more than 250 women either online or face-to-face and many are effected either directly or indirectly by cancer. I'm very proud to have set up a community which gave her structure and support during this time.

How Ann & Alison Went From Zero To Fit at The Fit Green

In January 2017 I hosted a free fat loss talk. I told the room full of busy men and women some of my strategies I use for fast and sustainable results in health and fitness. I had a brilliant response from everyone who attended and from the talk Alison and Ann came and gave The Fit Green a go. Starting with a free 7 day trial they never looked back…

Michelle, Dani & Sarah Were Regular Exercisers - But They Wanted More

Michelle, Dani and Sarah were all regular exercisers before they started at The Fit Green. Leaving the comfort of the gym was big step for each of them - but they wanted more from their fitness and that’s what they’ve got. It’s been 18 months. And they’re still at it. The results speak for themselves.

How Louise lost 7 inches From Her Hips & Changed Her Life In A Year on The Hot Body Project

Due the the nature of The Hot Body Project (it's an online plan and so we have participants all over the world) I rarely get to meet the people on the plan. This doesn't stop you getting to know someone and becoming friends. Earlier this year at the end of the Urban Tri I was delighted to meet Louise. She'd taken the time to travel and join us because she wanted to meet us. By her own admission she's not the most vocal on the forum, but the impact it's had on her life has been massive.

Katie Likes The Flexibility, The Community-Support & The Principle-Driven Approach

Katie has been on The Hot Body Project for 2 years now. One of the things she likes about the plan is the flexibility. In this time she’s tried a few different things. She’s joined a gym. She’s tried running. But with the support of The Hot Body Project behind her she’s had expert advice, the community support and a principle-driven framework to make positive fitness decisions.
