Baby Catcher Turns Into Fit Camper 

"I had known about The Fit Green since 2014 when one of my friends had told me about it. I half signed up but never actually made it! I have always known about the importance of keeping fit and played sports and generally ate well but I was never consistent.  

"In 2016, three months after having a baby I spoke to a friend (who is FIT!) who was member at a gym Iwas thinking of joining. I asked if she still went, and she said 'nope! I do bootcamp now'. Initially I wasn't convinced that flipping a few tyres on the grass got her in such amazing shape!!  

"I procrastinated for about 3 months before I finally joined. Initially I wasn't too sure as it was hard!! Thought I'd last a couple of months... but as the months went I started noticing that I was less lethargic and I was getting fitter I began to look forward to bootcamp sessions.  

"The Hot Body Project was the game changer for me. I've always been against fad diets and wasn't sure what to expect with this one. But had heard so many positive things I thought I'd give it a go... I've got nothing to lose (well maybe a few pounds here and there!) and it was easy!  

"For me it was about relearning my associations with food! To not grab that packet of skittles but instead some carrot sticks or an apple. I cooked all my own meals and I didn't give up carbs. But gave up my cornflakes in the morning (replaced with avocado on rye bread and a smoothie), sweets, and fried food.  

"I did lose weight but more than that I felt so much better. What kept me going was the community buzz the forum provided, the pictures of yummy food everyone was cooking up (for everyone who knows me... In January 2017 I hosted a free fat loss talk. I told the room full of busy men and women some of my strategies I use for fast and sustainable results in health and fitness. I had a brilliant response from everyone who attended and from the talk Alison and Ann came and gave The Fit Green a go. Starting with a free 7 day trial they never looked back…

Mother of Four Gets Her Body Back 

I spent my 20s in a cycle of worrying about my weight, either trying to lose it, or worried that I would put it back on. One worry I harboured long before I had children was what would happen to my body once I had a baby. I had always assumed that the cycle would get worse, and that the weight would be harder to lose, or that I wouldn't have the time or inclination.  

I turned 40 in 2016, and am the mother of four young children aged 8, 7, 4 and 2. Despite both of these facts, I can honestly say that I have never felt so happy and confident with my body as I do now. This is due to a combination of going to The Fit Green and following The Hot Body Project.  

I have been going to Steve's fitness camp for almost 5 years. I go 3 or 4, times a week, whatever the weather, with or without a child (or with up to 4 children) in tow. I am often asked by non-booty friends how I keep up the motivation to go, or told that I am extremely disciplined or 'good'.  

But I don't see it like that - I don't need to find motivation - I want to go, I enjoy it not just for the fun, varied work outs, and for the way it makes me feel, and the good results I have got from going, but for the banter, the camaraderie, the friendships and the fun.  

Steve works us hard and I always come away feeling it, but it is really fun. As well as getting fit and into shape, I have made some really solid friendships.  

Steve's nutritional expertise has also had a massive, long lasting impact on my life. I first tried his nutrition plan, The Hot Body Project, after the birth of my third child, three years ago. I was already into my fitness before I met Steve but it is safe to say that my eating was all over the place. I didn't really have a clue.  

When I was ready to lose my baby weight I signed up to The Hot Body Project because I'd heard lots of people talking about it at The Fit Green and had seen their amazing results. I still wasn't convinced it would work for me, but within the first week I realised that what everyone else was saying was true and that it really, really works!  

Even at that stage though I couldn't really grasp how I could work it into my everyday life. But I continued to follow some of the main principles after the initial 21 day plan came to an end, and I lost all of my baby weight steadily and fairly quickly. I did the same following the birth of my fourth baby, this time joining Hot 365, the continuation plan.  

Each time I have taken part in a 21 day plan I have picked up another good habit that stays with me and as a result I find that I no longer need to worry about my weight or my shape. I am conscious, mindful, aware of what I eat but I do not find it hard to stick to, it has become a way of life. My body shape has completely changed since before I had children, but in a good way. I actually like it - and I would never have dreamt I would be able to say that having had four babies.

THE FIT GREEN FAQ'S

“I’m quite unfit - will I be able to do all the exercises?” Everyone has to start somewhere. You'll be surrounded by beginner, intermediate and advanced exercisers. Each sessions we accomodate them all. 

“I’m a busy person - how will I fit it all in?" Each session is 45 minutes. If you build it into your weekly routine you'll get great results.

“What’s the group like? Is it full of people much fitter than me?” It's unlikely. Either way it doesn't matter. The thing which unites us is a positive attitude. We encourage you to do the best you can do and that's enough.

“What if I have a joint injury already - can I still do the workouts?” It's hard to say. If you've had clearance from a doctor then you're welcome to give it a go. We've seen improvements in knee and back pain from regular sessions at The Fit Green due to the nature of the workouts. Come and give it a try.

“I'm older. Is it suitable for an OAP?” I'll admit most people are between the ages of 30 and 60. But you're more than welcome to give it a go. It's a really friendly and supportive group.

"What days and times?" The Fit Green has the option of six sessions a week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning at 9:15am; Monday and Wednesday evening at 6:15pm; & Saturday morning at 8:45am.

"Where is it?" The Vyne Recreation Field in Knaphill (GU21 2SP) 

"What happens after my 10-day trial?" It's up to you. I'd love you to keep going - but there's no pressure. We have a couple of different membership options depending on what you need. We have a one-a-week option for £35 per month or an unlimited membership for £67 per month. 

"How do I get started?" To get started I need your name and email. You'll get an email with a free application form. We'll ask for a little more info about yourself. Then we'll confirm when you want to start.
